LEED Accredited Professional for Building Design & Construction (LEED AP BD+C), a Project Management Professional (PMP), and an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP).

As Vice President at KMEA, Neil Haner is responsible for the management of Architect-Engineer Services Operations, to include ensuring timely, high-quality execution of the KMEA engineering program. Neil manages and mentors a diverse staff of engineers and construction inspection professionals located both in our San Antonio, TX office, where he is based, as well as at active project sites across the United States and abroad. He takes great pride in developing and maintaining productive, success-oriented relationships with the firm’s valued clients, as well as with our current and potential teaming partners.

Neil has over twenty years of professional engineering and leadership experience in the planning and construction industry for facilities and infrastructure. His career began as a Civil Engineering Officer in the US Air Force and has continued since as a consulting civil/structural design engineer and senior manager, with expertise across the cradle-to-grave project lifecycle for both public and private clientele. Throughout his career, he has worked on projects worldwide to include design and construction of new and renovated facilities, transportation, and utilities infrastructure, as well as supporting Defense clients at multiple forward operating installations. As a senior staff member and project manager with KMEA since 2021, Neil’s portfolio boasts over $250 million in successful design and construction management efforts for a variety of specialized facility and infrastructure construction requirements.

A native of Richmond, VA, Neil holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states, and also holds credentials as a LEED Accredited Professional for Building Design & Construction (LEED AP BD+C), a Project Management Professional (PMP), and an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP).
